I’m back! It’s been awhile since I wrote my last piece. And I hardly locate the Caps button on my keyboard. It’s the first day of the NaNoWriMo 2014, so I will keep my writing simply uninteresting. Bye. =)

Vote for littlegreybox!.

It’s January 2012 and I didn’t write anything for my NaNoWriMo project! Geez, I am getting better for not being committed in everything. By the way, happy new year, folks!

It’s been awhile since the last time I updated my blog. And I believe that was when I still lived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. I am in my home country now. Where you can easily find street food seller if you’re hungry at 1 o’clock in the morning. Where you spend about 2,5 hours on the road of its capital in 30 km journey by car and a bike is even faster than you. And the most significant thing, where you can see the rain almost every day in this kind of months(I spent about 2 years living in Middle East for you to know). And now, I think it’s the time for me to start again. Still pointless, message-less and useless, my posts will bore everyone, including me who write them, for the sake of me practicing my so-called writing skill and my English. Shame on me, who call this junk a writing.. But I’m gonna let my fingers dancing anyway. Related to the title, I am taking such a perfect moment to start blogging again.

NaNoWriMo stands for National November Writing Month. As far I know(my google page is not working so I can’t tell you more), it is a movement in the United States which encourage the people to write a story for the whole month, with the certain number of words that they should make every single day. What the story will become at the end of the month, only God knows. Well, since I am the kind of person who really lack of commitment and faith, I will try to bend this rule. And since it’s a very cool idea, I will consider myself in even though Jakarta is not located in one of the states in America.

From today onwards til the end of the month, I will ruin this website’s credibility as a constructive website with my unimportant details of my surrounding. Try to pick your nose at the front of me while I am walking to my workplace and you’ll see your name on my tomorrow’s post. For now, I think these some words are enough as a start. My back starts killing me since I don’t have a proper table for my laptop. And it’s my dinner time.. See you tomorrow!

Celebrating my one-month notice job resignation, I’ll be having a project for no noble cause at all! It’s a photo project,  a picture a day. No theme, no rules, no looking backwards! The distance is only a shutter away and I just started about 20 minutes ago. Here is the link to my photo blog: http://lamenikonian.wordpress.com/ and posted below, my first capture. And remember my friend, keep your expectation very, very low. =P

Day 38 – Kombolcha, Ethiopia. #longwaydown

(Entah kenapa, lagi males sama layanan microblogging. Yah,sekali2 update status lewat wordpress. =p)

Son      : “Does your face hurt?”

Father : “A little.”

Son      : “Did you hit him back?”

Father : “No, I didn’t.”

Son      : “That’s okay.”

Somehow, kids do teach adults some lessons. Though, here, I got it from a movie. Have a good day!

Been listening to Belle and Sebastian’s “We are the Sleepyheads” few times a day recently. It won’t fix every single situation, to be honest. But well, it gives somehow a little comfort. Here comes the lyric.. =)

We are the Sleepyheads – Belle and Sebastian

Tired like the beggar with the cold inside his bones
Looking for the pleasure that he knew was so far gone
So far gone
I took a turn to myself
And I was surprised, cause I saw everyone who ever I had loved
I felt a whole lot better after that

People look at us and they think were doing fine
People look at us cause they see us all the time
All the time
But they never take to us
We’ve been in this town so long we may as well be dead
So long as people turn their heads
And cross the street whenever we walk on by

Someone told the truth when it really mattered most
The beauty of the moment is the beauty sadly lost
Sadly lost
So I went around to your house
Over tea and gin we talked about the things we read
In Luke and John the things he said
And now it’s morning, we are the sleepyheads

Despite the fact that I watched this movie for 4 times since I always fell asleep after it played for 20 minutes or so(I watched it on my laptop and there is nothing wrong with the movie or the laptop, it’s just me), I somehow found a little paradox(a seemingly true statement or group of statements that lead to a contradiction or a situation which seems to defy logic or intuition.-Wikipedia-).

Last scenes of the movie showed the King George VI made his “successful” speech being broadcasted to the entire country through the radio. Well, in spite of being worried because the content of the speech is British declaring war with Germany at the World War II, all the people around him looked amazingly happy. Maybe it’s because they knew that they had a king who was always stand beside them through the hard times or, again maybe, they was really happy simply because finally their king made his first articulate speech!

Yes, the movie actually put a point exactly on the king’s character and all situations around him as a background, but for me who had watched from the popular “Saving Private Ryan” to the Dutch “Oorlog Winter”, the WW II issue, only as a ”cameo”, didn’t pass easily. That is why I called it a paradox(well, at least for me) at the first time.

But overall, it was truly a great movie and Firth’s acting was really magnificent!

Kesannya “not finishing what you start”, trus udah mau mulai yang lain lagi.

Yes, so many things, yet so little time. Apalagi di jaman internet sekarang. Walaupun udah dibeberin di post sebelumnya, tetep aja masalah ini selalu muncul. Padahal udah download ebook-nya om Leo Babauta yang judulnya “FOCUS – a simplicity manifesto in the age of distraction”, tapi terhenti di halaman entah berapa dikarenakan satu dan lain hal

Singkatnya, dilanjutkan saja blog yang ada. Biarin semuanya mengalir dan mudah-mudahan bisa belajar dari kesalahan-kesalahan di post sebelumnya. Just simply like LIFE is.

(shit..hampir 2 jam bikin imagenya dan kayanya hasilnya ga worth-it-worth-it amat.<sigh>)
